Dear Valued Customer,
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, Cal-West Rain is committed to keeping you updated on continued steps we are taking to help support your business needs during this uncertain time. Cal-West Rain continues to monitor the situation along with reviewing guidance from the local, state and federal governments.
Our number one priority is to ensure that we are taking appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of our employees and customers. We consider the Ag community and its products are essential to the health, strength and future of America. As part of our business continuity efforts, below are a few examples of the measures we are taking across the company:
State of California: On Thursday, June 18, the Governor of California issued a new statewide guidance that requires face coverings in common and public indoor spaces and outdoors when physical distancing is not possible; this includes while you are working in the office. For more information, please reference the face-covering guidance from the California Department of Public Health issued June 18, 2020.
County of Fresno: On Friday, March 27, the Fresno County of Fresno Health Officer issued an order requiring businesses to conduct workplace screenings to exclude those with febrile respiratory illness. This order includes a screening checklist for ALL visitors and employees. See checklist below:
City of Fresno: The city issued an emergency order on 3/18/20 telling everyone to “Shelter in Place” effective at midnight Thursday, 3/19/20. Under the emergency order, people are allowed to leave their homes to perform any activity that is deemed essential. A business that is deemed essential is Food Cultivation/Farming. Businesses supplying other essential businesses with support or supplies necessary to operate are also considered essential businesses. Under these guidelines, Cal-West Rain is considered an essential business. As such, CWR will continue to operate as we have been in recent weeks. Read the article that explains the Shelter in Place ordinance.
Operations: It is our plan to maintain supply, service, and support to our customers. We are working very hard to maintain our operations through increased protective efforts. To support the continuity of our operations, we have implemented increased hygiene and cleaning procedures at our facilities, including shared technician tools and the equipment we use to service your equipment.
Parts & Facility Visits: We are asking customers and suppliers to limit any non-critical visits to our facilities. Parts orders can be placed in advance via phone or email to limit time at parts counters or in our facilities.
- Kerman Parts: ar*****@ca*********.com or 559-846-5326
- Paso Robles Parts: ab***@ca*********.com or 805-226-8990
- Hanford Parts: re*****@ca*********.com or 559-537-6846
Supply Chain: Our operations and parts teams continue to communicate daily and are actively working to mitigate any current and potential impact to our supply chain from vendors, including some dual sourcing for critical parts and equipment, and working with our vendors and logistics providers to monitor delivery problems or delays.
Job Applicants: We are asking ALL job applicants to send a resume via email to li***@ca*********.com and NOT visit or enter our facilities at this time.
We will continue to assess these areas as the situation evolves. We are committed to delivering on our commitments to our employees and customers to the best of our ability and assure you that our focus and dedication will continue so we can support the ongoing needs of your farming operations.
If you have any questions or concerns about our preparedness or how we can safely meet your needs, please do not hesitate to contact your primary representative at Cal-West Rain. We will continue to keep you updated as needed and as this situation continues to unfold.
